At The Abbey

Mrs. Josie Minard, who exuded great style, elegance and flair, comes to mind. She taught me how to sew with precision and care, and so began my lifelong love of sewing and for fashion.

Her attention to detail and meticulous instruction was a huge asset when I enrolled in the Millinery Arts program at George Brown College 6 years ago. With the fundamentals of hat construction in hand, I developed a personal interest into a small side business, creating custom hats for all occasions.

Getting Personal

After graduating from University, I began my career in the interior design industry while assisting my husband in his architectural practice. Two wonderful sons soon followed. Shortly after the birth of our second son, I returned to school as a mature student to complete my Interior Design Diploma. Since then, I have grown a successful practice providing design services to many Toronto homes.

Getting Professional

I am passionate about creative expression through authenticity and curiousity. Seeking projects which allow me to express my creativity is what energizes me and propels me forward. I am fortunate that my business allows me the opportunity to create livable spaces for people to feel wonderful in.

In my free time, I enjoy the process of transforming outdoor spaces into tranquil sanctuaries allowing for contemplation and relaxation. My custom millinery creations bring joy to the women and men who wear them. My reward is seeing my original idea developing into a reality.

When a client walks into their renewed space and smiles, or when they admire their millinery creation for the first time, my passion is fulfilled.
