Order of Mary Ward Nominations The Order of Mary Ward is the highest honour that the Loretto Alumnae Association can bestow on an individual. This award is given in honour of Mary Ward and is conferred upon one who displays those qualities we most admired in her – joy, freedom, love of the poor, and a desire for justice. The recipient should be one who serves as a role model to students taught in Loretto Schools or in the Loretto tradition and who makes a significant contribution to society through her spiritual, academic, creative and social gifts.
